It's just numbers

Written by Navarone Cycling Team at 22:19 25/7-2023

  In a sense, it has been a historic season for NCT:

  * 11 wins, best we ever had.
  * 26 results, also best.
  * Highest points in a season (3780)
  * First time we go over 400k prize money in a season, and we shatter it by a mile (432k)
  * Earned Stage Performer Gold finally.
  * Smashed all FR races without mercy ... except the one we care, Helsinki.
  * Antonov still winning at 36 in Div1, breaking the 10k points barrier, and close to 1.2 million career prize money.
  * Even won a trophy, Salsa de Cali.

  Still, I feel meh because I wanted to achieve 2 things, I thought I would achieve perhaps one, and fell short quite convincingly in all of them:

  * Vuelta SC (could happen)
  * Essex GC (definitely wasn't meant to be, but the trolling would have been simply too good not to try)
  * Helsinki (OK how the hell did that happen)

  Also I'm nowhere closer to finally win Norwich - London once, or well I perhaps am because Alpine is dismantling his SP team, but you know what I mean. Someone else will have their iron grip on the race, it won't be me, and i won't stand a chance. On the bright side, at least I didn't invest anything to go in that direction, so no wasted money.

  Let's see how the Scottish tour goes and if I don't screw up Sinki again.

  Great season for the FRers! I learned a lot from you in the last two seasons.
  Antonov probably the saddest rider in OCM after you declined him the oldie and the FR rider awards.
